Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MoveOn (the "App") or visiting our website at moveonapp.co (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.

These Terms apply to all users of MoveOn, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use MoveOn. By using the App, you represent that you are 17 years of age or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users we discover are under 17.

3. Account Registration

To access most features of MoveOn, you must create an account using Sign In with Apple or Google Sign-In. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You may not create an account on behalf of another person or use another person's account without permission.

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Trial

MoveOn offers a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.

Subscription Plans

  • Monthly: $4.99 per month
  • Annual: $29.99 per year

Billing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

Refunds

All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. MoveOn does not process refunds directly.

5. Not a Medical or Mental Health Service

MoveOn is a wellness app, not a medical or mental health service.

  • MoveOn is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, counseling, or medical advice
  • The AI therapy feature is an AI-powered conversational tool for emotional support and self-reflection — it is not provided by a licensed therapist, psychologist, or medical professional
  • Nothing in the App constitutes a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or medical advice
  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or suicidal ideation, please contact a crisis helpline immediately: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) or your local emergency services

By using MoveOn, you acknowledge that you understand these limitations and agree that MoveOn is not responsible for any decisions you make based on content in the App.

6. Community Guidelines and User Content

Your Content

By posting content in community groups or the anonymous feed, you grant MoveOn a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display that content within the App for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that:

  • Is harassing, threatening, abusive, or hateful
  • Contains personal information of other individuals without their consent
  • Is sexually explicit or inappropriate
  • Promotes self-harm, suicide, or dangerous behaviors
  • Violates the rights of any third party
  • Is spam, advertising, or promotional material
  • Violates any applicable law

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines at our sole discretion, without notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Reporting

You may report content that violates these guidelines using the in-app report function. We take reports seriously and will review them promptly.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in MoveOn — including text, graphics, logos, the AI therapy system, app design, and code — is owned by or licensed to MoveOn and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Use the MoveOn name, logo, or branding without prior written consent

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect user data from the App
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE
  • ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED
  • THE APP OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS
  • THE RESULTS OF USING THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOVEON AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

  • YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP
  • ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE APP
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA
  • ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE APP

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MoveOn, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
  • Any content you post in the App

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time through the App. See Section 8 of our Privacy Policy for information on data deletion.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MoveOn regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
